Care & Labour
Reflecting on the time required for crafting a throw, the labour extends far longer since obtaining the wool depends on the responsible rearing of llamas.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR LLAMA WOVEN THROWS & BEDSPREADS.
Professional cleaning, experienced in wool, is ideal. If handwashing, use cold water and mild soap, with careful attention to drying: avoid wringing or spinning. Instead, gently press the throw with a towel to remove excess water (do not rub), then hang it flat to dry, ensuring it doesn’t stretch or lose its shape. In case of a spill, avoid letting stains settle. Pour clean water over the area without brushing, pat with a towel (don’t rub), and air dry completely.
You will notice shedding at first, this is normal as is 100% handspun and will settle over time. A cashmere fabric shaver can be used gently to keep it looking pristine.
